Emilia Ledda was born and raised in Rome, Italy in a multi-cultural household. She was raised by an American expat mother and native Roman father. At the age of 19, Emilia moved to the Michigan to attend Michigan State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition in 2018. After graduating, she worked for two years in clinical research exploring the cutting edge field of pharmaceuticals. Today, Emilia is working towards earning a Doctor of Osteopathy degree.

She enjoys spending time with her dogs, Saturday mornings at the Farmer's Market, experimenting with woodworking, going to health-tech conferences, and attending stand-up comedy shows supporting local performers.
